Happy Anniversary | Then and Now

I usually give myself a few hours every Saturday to prepare and shoot a couple of recipes to post here on The Kitch in the coming week. But strapped for time, this past Saturday the recipes just didn't happen. For now I'll give you a taste of what's to come next week: Chile-spiced Seitan Tacos with Pico de Gallo, and Tomato-Chickpea Curry Wraps. Until then, I thought it would be fun to commemorate the early-October five-month anniversary of The Kitch.

When I started the blog in May I had a big idea, zero props, and an iPhone camera to photograph my culinary creations with. Since then, the blog has evolved way beyond even my own expectations during those very early days. The logo has become a more sophisticated and fitting symbol of the KLB brand, and with the recent addition of a few modest props and a digital SLR camera to my collection, the photography has branched out beyond simple snapshots of the food before eating it, to one-woman semi-pro photo shoots.

Happy Five-month Anniversary to The Kitch! The blog and I have definitely come a long way in five months. I'm excited to keep moving forward and growing, and I can't wait to see where we go from here...
